Problem :
Food delivery apps often overwhelm users with cluttered interfaces, long ordering processes, and a lack of personalization. Many users struggle to quickly discover meals that suit their taste, budget, or preferred restaurants. The existing apps make the journey from browsing to checkout longer than necessary, reducing overall satisfaction and engagement.
Solution :
FoodyGo was designed to simplify and enhance the food ordering process. By creating an intuitive user flow, clean wireframes, and a visually engaging UI, the app allows users to seamlessly browse restaurants, explore dishes, and place orders within a few taps. The design emphasizes minimal steps, easy navigation, and consistency across the screens, ensuring users enjoy a smooth and delightful experience.
Challenge :
The biggest challenge was balancing simplicity with functionality. The app needed to accommodate diverse user needs such as filtering food, tracking orders, and personalizing recommendations without overloading the interface. Designing a system that feels lightweight yet powerful required careful iterations, user persona analysis, and detailed flow mapping to avoid friction in the journey.
Another challenge was ensuring visual consistency across all screens while keeping the experience engaging. Since food delivery apps rely heavily on imagery and typography, it was essential to maintain a balance between showcasing appetizing visuals and preserving usability. Establishing a style guide with consistent colors, spacing, and typography helped overcome this hurdle, ensuring a polished and cohesive design throughout the app.
