Finding Better Roommates, Smarter
Project Overview
Roomeet is a mobile application that simplifies the process of finding both suitable rooms and compatible roommates. By combining intelligent roommate matching with room discovery, the platform helps users make confident housing decisions based on shared interests, lifestyle preferences, budget, and location.
The Problem
Finding shared accommodation isn’t just about finding an available room—it’s also about finding the right person to live with. Most existing platforms focus on property listings while providing limited information about roommate compatibility, making it difficult for users to build trust and make informed decisions. As a result, users often switch between multiple platforms, compare countless listings, and spend significant time searching for both a room and a compatible roommate.
Research & Insights
To better understand user needs, I conducted interviews, competitor analysis, persona creation, empathy mapping, and journey mapping. The research revealed that users valued compatibility, trust, and transparency just as much as affordability and location.
Key Insights
Users wanted one platform to find both rooms and roommates.
Lifestyle compatibility strongly influenced roommate decisions.
Verified profiles increased user confidence.
