About Groomzy
Groomzy is a conceptual mobile application designed to simplify the pet grooming booking experience. The goal was to create an intuitive journey that helps pet owners easily select a pet, explore grooming services, choose a convenient appointment time, and confirm their booking with minimal effort.
Challenge
The challenge was to design a complete end-to-end booking experience within a limited timeframe while following modern UI design practices. The solution needed to balance ease of use for pet owners with a clean, scalable interface that could support future feature expansion.
Key challenges included:
Creating a simple booking flow with minimal user effort.
Presenting multiple grooming services without overwhelming users.
Designing reusable components and scalable design patterns.
Maintaining visual consistency using Auto Layout and component variants.
Solution
I designed a streamlined booking flow that guides users through each step with clear navigation and minimal cognitive load. Every screen was structured using Auto Layout, ensuring flexibility across different content lengths and device sizes.
The solution included:
Simple pet selection experience.
Easy-to-browse grooming service cards.
Detailed service information with transparent pricing.
Flexible date and time selection.
Clear booking summary before confirmation.
Delightful success screen to complete the experience.
To improve scalability, I created reusable design components including buttons, service cards, pet cards, and time-slot cards with multiple variants. This reduced design duplication and maintained consistency throughout the interface
What I Learned
This project reinforced the importance of designing scalable interfaces using reusable components and Auto Layout. Working within a tight deadline also helped me prioritize usability, maintain design consistency, and make thoughtful design decisions without overcomplicating the experience.
